April’s musical world has never been defined by one language, one style or one tradition. Born into an Italian-Chinese family and growing up in Singapore, she experiences music across cultures. English and Chinese are part of her everyday life, while Italian connects her to another side of her heritage. Through singing, she has discovered that emotion can be understood even when words are unfamiliar. Her repertoire moves naturally between classical music, musical theatre, folk songs and contemporary performance. She enjoys singing in Italian, Chinese and English, giving each language its own character and expression. Classical training is helping her develop control, musical sensitivity and confidence in her voice. Musical theatre allows her to combine singing with acting, movement and storytelling. Piano gives her another way to understand melody, harmony and musical structure. She is also beginning to explore guitar, improvisation, songwriting and music production. These different disciplines are gradually helping her discover what kind of artist she may become. Her performances have already taken her from Singapore to stages in New York, Salzburg and other international settings. Each competition and concert is not simply an achievement, but an opportunity to listen, learn and grow. April’s journey is still at an early stage, and her artistic identity will continue to evolve with experience. For her, music without borders means sharing stories freely across languages, cultures, genres and stages.

April ✧ Bio
April was born in Qingdao, China, on June 12th 2017 to an Italian father and a Chinese mother. Growing up in Qingdao, Seoul, Shanghai and, since 2022, Singapore has given her a truly international upbringing. Today she is a Year 4 student at Dulwich College (Singapore), where she is a permanent member of the school choir. She will begin Year 5 in August 2026. Music has been part of April's life from an early age. She began studying piano at the age of five before discovering her passion for singing a year later at Miss Khor Vocal Associates Studio in Singapore. Since then, vocal performance has become the centre of her musical education while she continues to develop her piano skills and broaden her overall musicianship. April currently holds a Trinity College London Grade 4 Singing Certificate with Distinction and an ABRSM Grade 2 Piano Performance Certificate with Merit. Alongside her classical training, she has recently begun studying electric guitar and music theory, expanding her understanding of different musical styles and preparing for future work in composition and songwriting. Her stage experience has grown steadily through performances with Vocal Associates Studio, including portraying the Businessman in The Little Prince musical, as well as numerous solo performances in Songbirds Productions concerts. These experiences have helped her develop confidence on stage while nurturing her love of storytelling through music. In 2025, April received international recognition after winning three First Prizes at the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition, together with the Judges' Distinction Award. She was subsequently invited to perform at the Winners' Concert in the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York, one of the world's most celebrated concert venues. Her success continued throughout 2026. She was awarded First Prize at the Music Singapore International Competition and First Prize at the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, earning the opportunity to perform at the Winners' Concert in the Mozarteum Salzburg, one of Europe's most historic musical institutions. She also received the Gold Prize at the VIMA London International Music Competition and qualified for the live finals of the International Youth Music and Musician Competition (IYMMC) in Kuala Lumpur after earning three Second Prizes during the preliminary video round. Although her training is firmly rooted in classical vocal repertoire, April enjoys exploring many different musical styles, including musical theatre and contemporary pop music. She regularly performs in English, Italian and Chinese, embracing the richness of her multicultural heritage through music. Beyond performing, April has developed a growing interest in music production and songwriting. She has recently begun learning the fundamentals of recording and composition, with the personal goal of writing her first original song by the age of twelve. Looking further ahead, she hopes one day to continue her musical education at The Juilliard School.
